*cue Lili*
Lili: KEVIN, YOU PROMISED ME A RUN AND YOU IGNORED ME THE OTHER DAY.
Me: Uh.. (FRAK, I did.. ahh, excuses excuses need an EXCUSE.)
Lili: I am gonna be home at 2. We are GOING then. BE READY.
Me: Buu--
*hang up*
Let me state that: A) I did want to go for a run but, B) I did not want to go for a run because C) it was raining, and even though we've D) ran in the rain before I E) did not have my iPod cause I lost the charger and I F) needed to be home by 3:30 to go a party and G) I did not want to go for a run.
See, look at all those totally and completely valid (read: bogus) reasons to not run. But, good ol' Lili. Oh, Lili. She is just so damn cute and sweet (read: FORCEFUL.) So, run I will.
Usually we go for runs at St. Paul's which was a boy's school and is now the awesome building with a huge field for soccer/lacrosse/any sport. The field is actually a mile all the way around so it works very well for us. BUT, today there was a big soccer clinic going on with jumping castles, and British instructors a big-big deal. St. Paul's=NO. The next option is the (actually closer) High School which, Lili goes to. (I am a shmancy private school kid.) We walk over there in the rain and we see lots of little people, and lacrosse sticks. THE HELL. not fair.
OPTION NUMERO THREE. St. Paul's... crescent! It's a round street next to St. Paul's we always wanted to run there but just never did. So we walk there in the rain and begin running. Now, I shall explain why I need an iPod late but, I needed one and borrowed my sister's and found the only acceptable music: Black Eyed Peas. It's now 3:00 and we begin running hoping to get something done. We run. AND RUN. AND RUN. AND RUN. AND RUN.
Four cycles later I plead to stop and we do. Now, I don't know how I became so sadly weak in 2 weeks but, I had and my chest was yelling "AHH, WTF MAN. NO. NO. STOOOP. NOO." Surprisingly the rest of me was okay. Just my heart was FAILING. We finish and we walk back (still dying) and Lili says:
"Kevin will you make a log of this or something."
I am a man of my word. Gotta dash..
Kevin
